There's another blog where I was posting my artwork along with 2 other artists,( http://www.humpdae.blogspot.com/) but I decided to go off on my own. Hopefully this will motivate me to create and post art more often than I currently do. For all of my artwork you may visit http://darkcomartist.deviantart.com/ since putting up the same pieces may just be redundant so I'll put up pieces that are current. For example, I won't put up political cartoons of Richard Nixon as they would no longer be relevant. Actually I may not even put up any political cartoons because I'm not that into them. I'm a comic book artist currently trying to make the switch from that to illustrator. I use Corel Painter 11 about %99.9999 of the time, the rest of the time I get drunk and yell at the tv incoherently during "perfect hair" informercials. In between those two I also use Photoshop CS4 but it's not a program I've learned to use as well as Painter. I love the fact that painter reacts very much like traditional tools. I know Photoshop can give you the same results if used properly but I haven't spent the time to learn it yet. The other main feature I love about painter is the ability to rotate the canvas at will. For doing the preliminary sketch it is an amazing tool. I'm using a wacom table. If I had a Cintiq this wouldn't be a problem with Photoshop but alas, I can't afford the bloody thing without selling off my internal organs, and I already promised them to a guy on ebay in exchange for a Superman pez dispenser.
